The city of Trulli

In the enchanting Itria valley stands the city of Alberobello, famous for its expanse of dry limestone Trulli. The trulli are buildings with a cone roof and have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Characteristic with its winding alleys with more than 1000 trulli is the Rione Monti, the oldest in the city. Also worth seeing are the churches of the town, also in the shape of a trullo, including the most impressive, the church of Sant'Antonio with its dome more than 21 meters high.
