Ostuni is a picturesque city located in the Itria Valley at 218 meters above sea level, called "White" for its typical whitewashed houses. Its medieval village, defined in local jargon "the land", stands on the highest hill in the urban area and boasts numerous narrow streets, steep stairways, courtyards and small squares overlooked by houses, craft shops, typical restaurants and small shops. For sea lovers, only 8 km away there are sandy coves, rocks, pebble beaches and dunes covered with Mediterranean scrub, which frame a turquoise blue sea.
